Sowing and Growing Guide
Coriander
Indoor Sowing:
- Sow seeds in pots or trays filled with seed compost.
- Press the seeds gently into the surface of the compost and cover with a thin layer of compost.
- Water the compost and cover the pot or tray with a clear plastic bag or lid to retain moisture.
- Place the pot or tray in a warm, bright spot but out of direct sunlight.
- Once the seedlings have grown to around 2-3 inches in height, thin them out to leave one seedling per pot or space them out evenly in a larger container.
- Keep the compost moist but not waterlogged, and feed every two weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
Outdoor Sowing:
- Sow seeds in well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded spot.
- Make a shallow trench in the soil and sow the seeds thinly along the trench.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and water gently.
- Once the seedlings have grown to around 2-3 inches in height, thin them out to leave one seedling per 4 inches.
- Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, and feed every two weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
