Radish - Black Spanish Round
Indoor Sowing
- Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last expected frost date.
- Fill seed trays with seed starting mix and sow seeds 1/2 inch deep, 1-2 seeds per cell.
- Keep the soil moist and at a consistent temperature of 55-75°F.
- Seedlings should emerge in 4-7 days.
- Once seedlings have developed their first true leaves, thin them to one per cell.
- Transplant seedlings outdoors when they are 2-3 inches tall and have at least two sets of true leaves.
Outdoor Sowing
- Sow seeds directly into the garden as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring.
- Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil.
- Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1-2 inches apart in rows spaced 6-12 inches apart.
- Keep the soil moist and weed-free.
- Thin seedlings when they are 2-3 inches tall, leaving 2-4 inches between plants.
Growing
