Curled garden cress, also known as peppergrass or garden peppergrass, is a fast-growing, cool season annual herb that is commonly used as a spicy addition to salads, sandwiches, and other dishes. It belongs to the mustard family and is closely related to watercress and arugula. Curled garden cress has small, curly, dark green leaves that have a peppery taste, and it can grow up to 12 inches tall. It prefers moist soil and partial to full sun exposure, and can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Curled garden cress is high in vitamins A and C, as well as calcium and iron. It is easy to grow and is often used as a microgreen, as it can be harvested in as little as two weeks after sowing.
