Crystal Lemon Cucumber
Indoor Sowing
- Start seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last expected frost date.
- Fill seed trays with seed starting mix and sow seeds 1/2 inch deep, 1-2 seeds per cell.
- Keep the soil moist and at a consistent temperature of 70-75°F.
- Seedlings should emerge in 7-10 days.
- Once seedlings have developed their first true leaves, thin them to one per cell.
- Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7-10 days.
- Transplant seedlings outdoors when they are 3-4 inches tall and have at least two sets of true leaves.
Outdoor Sowing
- Sow seeds directly into the garden 1-2 weeks after the last expected frost date.
- Choose a sunny location with well-draining soil that has been amended with compost.

- Keep the soil moist and weed-free.
- Thin seedlings when they are 3-4 inches tall, leaving 1 plant every 2-3 feet.
Growing
- Crystal Lemon cucumbers prefer well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter.
- Water consistently to keep soil evenly moist, especially during hot and dry weather.
- Fertilize once a month with a balanced fertilizer.
- Support vines with trellises or stakes to keep fruits off the ground and to make harvesting easier.
