Cylindra beetroot is a unique heirloom variety known for its long, cylindrical shape, making it ideal for slicing. Unlike round beets, its uniform shape allows for even cooking and easy preparation. The deep red flesh is sweet and tender, with a smooth texture and minimal fiber. This variety is a great choice for home gardeners, as it produces high yields in a small space and is slow to bolt. Cylindra beetroot is excellent for roasting, pickling, and fresh use, and its greens can also be harvested for salads or cooking.
